How to promote using TikTok

TikTok is without a doubt becoming a growingly popular social media platform. In this article, we explain how affiliates can promote advertisers using TikTok.

Adding TikTok to your traffic sources 

To add TikTok to your account, you can do so by going to Settings > Traffic Sources and clicking Add New under the Traffic Sources subheading.  Then, an overlay will appear requiring you to enter Type (please select Video), Name, URL, Category, Description, Approximate Weekly Visitors and Approximate Years Online. Once filled in, press Save and this will be added to your account. 

 

How to promote via TikTok

After you have successfully added your TikTok account as a Traffic Source to your Commission Factory account, you’re now able to start promoting via your TikTok profile.

In order to earn commissions on sales, your audience will need to click through one of your Commission Factory Affiliate tracking links. Tracking links can be found in the Creatives section of your Affiliate account and under the Text Links section.

One of the issues with promoting advertisers on TikTok is the distinct lack of opportunities in which to place a link to the products you are marketing. Just like Instagram, TikTok currently only allows for one organic link within your Bio, but there are some ways around this.

  • User Bio – Simply copy a tracking link from your Commission Factory dashboard and display the affiliate link on your TikTok bio.
