Learn how to add, manage, and track opportunities in the Opportunities Marketplace.
What is the Opportunities Marketplace?
The Opportunities Marketplace lets you promote paid promotional opportunities to advertisers. You can list opportunities like homepage banners, EDM features or sponsored posts and choose whether to charge a fixed fee, Cost per click, or request a CPA increase.
How to access the Opportunities Marketplace

Go to Opportunities in the left-hand menu

Select Marketplace
Here, you can search or filter opportunities by type or status.
How to add a new opportunity

Go to Opportunities in the left-hand menu

Select Marketplace
-
In the Marketplace, click Add New (top right)

Select the type of opportunity
-
Click Next to continue
Step 1: Content Requirements
Fill in the opportunity details:

Title and description
-
Submission deadline
-
Start and end dates
-
Limited availability (yes/no)
-
Creatives required (yes/no)
Click Next.
Step 2: Commercial Requirements
You can offer one or more commercial options:

Fixed Fee – Enter an amount in AUD

Cost-per-Click (CPC) – Applies to valid clicks during the opportunity

Commission Increase – Advertisers can propose a temporary CPA boost
Click Next.
Step 3: Opportunity Visibility
Choose who can see this opportunity:

Selected advertisers (Specific advertisers approved to your program)
- Joined advertisers (All advertisers approved to your program)
-
All advertisers – (All advertisers on the Commission Factory network)
Click Next.
Step 4: Confirm and Publish
Review the full opportunity preview. When ready, click Save to publish.
How to manage advertiser applications
Go to Opportunities Marketplace > Applications to view all responses.
You can:

Search or filter by advertiser, opportunity type, or status

Click the three-dot icon to approve or decline an application
If declining, you’ll be asked to provide a reason and can choose to prevent reapplications.
To export application data, click Download (top right).
Reporting on opportunity performance
Track clicks, impressions, and transactions from opportunities via:

Transaction Report

Custom Reports
Attribution
Data is linked to opportunities based on the active period (Start Date and End Date).
For example:

A click before the start date = not attributed
-
A transaction during the active period = attributed
Opportunity fields in reports

Opportunity ID and Opportunity Name are available in all relevant reports and CSV exports.

These fields only populate when an action (click, impression, transaction) occurs during an active opportunity.
Custom Reports enhancements

Dimensions: Add Opportunity ID and Opportunity Name

Metrics: Cost per Click Count reflects valid clicks from opportunities

Filters: Filter reports by Opportunity ID or Opportunity Name
Billing and invoicing
Once an opportunity ends, Commission Factory automatically calculates and schedules your earnings. There’s nothing you need to do manually.
Here’s how it works:

End of opportunity – When the End Date is reached, we total up any agreed earnings from flat fees, CPA increases, or CPC activity.

Advertiser invoice cycle – These earnings are added to the advertiser’s next invoice.
Each opportunity is itemised as a separate line item on the invoice, showing the agreed terms and total amount due. Once the advertiser pays the invoice, your earnings will be paid out.
Key things to remember

Set up email alerts for opportunity applications via Account Settings > Notifications > Edit (3-dot icon)
- To boost exposure, ensure you set the visibility of your opportunity to All Advertisers.

If creatives are required, advertisers will need to upload them as part of their application or before the start date.
