# User Accounts

## This article explains to affiliates what user account is and how they work.

**What are user accounts?**

User accounts are used to access the Commission Factory network and can be configured to access a single client account or multiple client accounts. This is to help users consolidate and have access to multiple client accounts without needing multiple login credentials.

**How do user accounts work?**

The owner of an account has the ability to add users to be able to access the account with selected permissions. To add a new user to an account, click on the cog icon on the top right-hand corner. This will lead to the **Settings** section where the **Users** tab can be found. In the **Users** area, all the users on the account are listed.

For existing users, the owner can **View user**, **Set as owner**, **Edit permissions** or **Revoke access** by clicking the three vertical dot icon on the right-hand side.

For users with pending invitations can have their invitation **edited** or **cancelled** by clicking the three vertical dot button on the right-hand side.
