Where can I manage and apply for opportunities?

Learn how to view available affiliate exposure opportunities, apply for them, and track performance.

Overview of opportunities

In your Commission Factory Advertiser account, you can view and apply for affiliate exposure opportunities under Opportunities > Marketplace. This section lists all available opportunity packages offered by affiliates.

Each opportunity displays the following:

  • Affiliate name

  • Opportunity type (e.g. Gold Package)

  • Description of the opportunity

  • Requirements, such as CPA increase or fixed fee

  • Number of days left to apply

If the affiliate is not yet partnered with your program, you’ll be able to invite them directly from the opportunity listing.


Applying for an opportunity

  1. Go to Opportunities > Marketplace

  2. Select an opportunity to view more details

  3. Click Apply to open the application form

The application page includes:

  • Opportunity deadline

  • Campaign run dates

  • Terms and conditions

  • Required creatives

If a commission increase is required, enter the percentage increase from your current rate. For example:

  • Default rate = 5%

  • New rate = 7.5%

  • Enter a 50% increase

This percentage will automatically apply to all relevant commission rules. There’s no need to create a separate rule.

Once you've entered your offer and agreed to the terms, click Submit. The affiliate will review and either approve or decline your application. If declined, they’ll provide a reason.


Managing opportunity applications

All your opportunity applications are listed under Opportunities > Applications.

From this page, you can:

  • View application status

  • Edit an application

  • Withdraw an application

When an opportunity is approved and the campaign is completed, any applicable opportunity fee will be invoiced during your next billing cycle.


Viewing active opportunity commissions

If an opportunity includes a commission increase, you can view it on the Finance > Commission rates page.


Opportunity performance and reporting

You can track opportunity performance using these reports:

  • Reporting > Transactions

  • Reporting > Custom Reports

Attribution

Data is linked to opportunities based on the active period (Start Date and End Date).
For example:

  • A click before the start date = not attributed

  • A transaction during the active period = attributed

Opportunity fields in reports

  • Opportunity ID and Opportunity Name are available in all relevant reports and CSV exports.

  • These fields only populate when an action (click, impression, transaction) occurs during an active opportunity.

Custom Reports enhancements

  • Dimensions: Add Opportunity ID and Opportunity Name

  • Metrics: Cost per Click Count reflects valid clicks from opportunities

  • Filters: Filter reports by Opportunity ID or Opportunity Name

Billing and invoicing 

Commission Factory automatically handles billing for opportunity costs. You don’t need to take any manual action to pay affiliates.

Here’s how the process works:

  1. End of opportunity – Once the opportunity's End Date passes, our system calculates the total amount based on agreed terms (fixed fee, CPA increase, or CPC).

  2. Next invoice cycle – The amount is added to your next invoice. This ensures all opportunity costs are billed together, keeping your records and reporting simple.

Each opportunity is itemised as a separate line item on the invoice, showing the agreed terms and total amount due.
