This guide shows you the various ways you can optimise your affiliate account.
In the Settings section of your dashboard, there are a few ways you can optimise your account. We recommend this to be completed first before requesting to join any advertiser programs.
Adding an avatar or gravatar
Adding an avatar or gravatar in your Settings, it will help advertisers differentiate and recognise affiliates. If you are operating as a business, adding in the business logo as a gravatar will be helpful for advertisers to recognise you.
Fill out the About Us field in your account settings
Filling out the About Us field in your Account Settings is the most important way to optimise your account. This helps advertisers have a better understanding of who you are, what you do and how you intend to promote the advertiser. The About Us overview is visible to advertisers when you request to join their program. Therefore, by doing so it will improve your chances of being approved onto a program.
Upload a media deck or brochure
In your Settings uploading a media deck or brochure is optional, however, it is definitely beneficial to have one uploaded in your account so that advertisers can review this as part of your program application. The more information the advertiser has, the better your chances of being approved.
Enter all your billing and payment details
Quite simply, funds cannot be sent to you if the billing details have not been entered in the Billing section of your Account Settings. Make sure to double-check that all details have been entered correctly and that you have clicked the ‘Save’ button.
All traffic sources you intend to promote with are listed in your account
Ideally, once you have created your account, all traffic sources you intend to promote advertisers with have been entered in the Traffic Source section of your Account Settings before requesting to join any advertiser programs.
